East Feliciana was established in 1824 when Feliciana Parish was divided into East and West Feliciana. It was a part of the Republic of West Florida. It is home to several communities including Clinton ( the parish seat), Jackson, Ethel, Slaughter, Norwood and Wilson. Notable places of interest include Port Hudson State Commemorative Area and Centenary State Commemorative Area. The landscape includes beautiful rolling hills and farmland.
